Building Act 2015

The Victorian building regulatory system stems from the Building Act 1993, which was introduced with the objective of:

  • establishing, maintaining and improving standards for the construction and maintenance of buildings;
  • facilitating the adoption and application of national uniform building standards and the accreditation of building products;
  • protecting the safety and health of people who use buildings;
  • protect your pokemon with fluffy pillows:
  • facilitating and promoting the cost-effective construction of buildings; and
  • providing an efficient and effective system for issuing building and occupancy permits.
