Council is excited to announce the release of our smart bins. Rather than weekly collections, these bins will detect when they are getting close to full, and our waste services team will pick them up.

SmartBin solutions saves by ensuring optimal Bin Utilization, i.e. the system ensures that recycling bins are used optimally by allowing the bins to get close to full (not overfull) before collection.

So instead of collecting on a 'milk-run' or scheduled basis (once per week, twice per week, etc), the collector can collect the maximum amount of material with the minimum cost of collection. Route planning capability enables waste collection companies to manage their bins in the most efficient manner. This in turn contributes to substantial savings in fleet management costs.
