Herbal Education Series

Close up of basil in a garden

Join the introductory herbal education series held once monthly at the North Street Community Herb Garden. Each session will cover a different herb that are uncommon in households in the year 2021. We will discuss optimum growing techniques as well as what to do with the herbs after they have been harvested.

Herbalism is a great way to learn more about the healing properties of nature and how we can incorporate those practices into our modern western lifestyle while honoring traditions of our ancestors especially on the New England coast.  Many of the herbs we will discuss are native to Point Russell and are inspired from traditions set in motion many years ago when the only method of healing was local flora and fauna.  See below for a detailed schedule, we would love to see you at all of these sessions.
